So sayonara Japan. It was great.
The problem with Japanese food is that while some of it is delicious a lot of it is disgusting. The trouble is you don't know which is which til you eat it. Our last few meals on our journey home proved this point.
Snacks on the train. Cheese with dried squid. Who knew?
Omelette rice. With red and white sauces. Yuk. Also the Japanese have no quality control on their meat. They eat any old gristly stuff. There was lots in the red sauce.
Jellied mackerel.
Mod burger. Delish. Like getting a McDonalds on the plane. Amazing.
Rice crackers. Nom nom nom. Felix ate 5 packets.
Electric loo seats. I hate them.
Smoking booths on the streets. You can't smoke in the open but you can in all the bars. WTF?
Barriers on the tube platforms. To stop suicides. Nice idea.
Today we tried to get to the big Hello Kitty shop in Shibuya. It took us an hour and we got so wet we just turned round and came home. We have never been so wet. We will try again tomorrow.
Umbrella graveyards on every corner.
The "lemonade" Sam accidentally had last time. The clue is that it's made by a brewer. Kirin is a well known lager brand. Oh, and the 6% on the can.
My favourite Japanese snack.
Yes really. Strawberry cream filled Ritz. I'm bringing these back for the team.
For the uninitiated. This is a Gundam. RX78 Mk2 to be precise. The Japanese have a bit of a thing about them and so does my family. We were lucky enough to be staying close to Diver City where this guy lives. He's 18 metres high. Wow.

Cleared pizza plates. The Japanese do make great pizza.
Weird cheesecake type pudding.
This is the most expensive place in the world. And I failed to photograph anything. Shock I reckon. Some sushi = £56. 4 glasses of wine = £50. Ouch. But the view is great.
